Ep.9 Age 23 – The Moment I Met My Son’s Father: A Special Beginning**

Hello, this is Susan from Artisue.

Today, I want to share a story about one of the most special encounters in my life —

the story of how I met my son’s father.

I was 23 at the time,

working in the banquet department of a hotel.

To be honest… we didn’t get along very well at first.

He used to speak to me a bit sharply,

and his tone really bothered me.

So, I just stopped talking to him.

But strangely enough,

I noticed he was so friendly with everyone else.

He laughed a lot, joked around, and got along so well with the team.

It was only with me that things felt awkward.

My coworkers would tell me,

“He’s actually a really funny and kind person!”

So I thought, maybe I misunderstood him.

After that, I started trying to get closer,

trying to understand him a little better.

One day, I even tried to introduce him to one of my close friends.

But that day, my friend was quite rude to him…

and I felt really bad about it.

So after work,

I offered to have a drink with him — just to apologize.

And that’s when I found out the truth.

He told me he actually had feelings for me.

After thinking about it for a while,

I decided to give it a try —

to see where things might go.

For someone like me,

who had lived in Australia for a long time,

he, as a Korean international student, felt so refreshing and new.

We started talking about Korean culture,

sharing stories about home, food, and childhood memories.

It felt so warm to finally speak in Korean again —

to share emotions and memories

with someone who truly understood where I came from.

That shared connection,

that small comfort of speaking the same language,

became something truly special to me.

And just like that,

our story began. 💛
